Dr. Nitin Goyal is currently working as a faculty in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Central University of Haryana, Mahendragarh, Haryana, India (Indian Government). He is PhD in Computer Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra, India. He is specialized in underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSN), having applications of military operations. He has published approximately 175 research papers. He has filed around 30 patents, out of which 20 are awarded and 10 are published.

Dr. Meenakshi Aggarwal is PhD from Chitkara University, Punjab, India. She did her B.Tech from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak Haryana and M.Tech under Kurukshetra University,Haryana, India. She has around 11 years of teaching experience along with Academic work. She has published 15 research papers in various International Journals, Books and Conferences. She has filed 3 patents and guided many B.tech and M.tech students in their projects and research work. She has reviewed research papers from various Journals of repute.
Background and Rationale:
This special issue presents recent advances in intelligent simulation and multidisciplinary optimization tools tailored for complex industrial systems. The growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI), data-driven modeling, and high-fidelity simulation is enabling engineers and designers to solve previously intractable problems across aerospace, automotive, energy, and manufacturing domains. By combining traditional physics-based models with AI-enhanced optimization strategies, researchers can achieve higher accuracy, faster convergence, and more adaptive solutions under complex operational constraints. This issue highlights contributions that address the fusion of machine learning, advanced optimization algorithms, and numerical simulation in the design and development of intelligent, efficient, and robust industrial systems.
This special issue welcomes original research contributions and brief communications that explore theoretical development, algorithm innovation, and engineering applications of intelligent simulation and optimization. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Multidisciplinary optimization techniques for complex system design;
- AI-enhanced simulation frameworks for industrial applications;
- Hybrid modeling approaches combining physics-based and data-driven methods;
- Advanced parameter identification and response surface modeling;
- Surrogate modeling and reduced-order modeling in high-dimensional problems;
- Nature-inspired and heuristic optimization methods in engineering design;
- Digital twins and real-time optimization for smart manufacturing;
- Uncertainty quantification and robust optimization under real-world conditions;
- Simulation-based design optimization in aerospace, automotive, and energy sectors.
